Zimbabwe welcomes Chinese ‘all-weather friends’

China has deployed a team of 17 doctors and donated a consignment of medical equipment to Zimbabwe to help the fight against coronavirus. New Vision reports that they have been welcome in Harare by Chinese ambassador Guo Shaochun who said ‘this is a very good reflection of the long-standing friendship between China and Zimbabwe’. Social Welfare Minister July Moyo said the initiative demonstrates that ‘we are all-weather friends’. Zimbabwe has recorded 36 cases of the coronavirus including four deaths.
