Zanzibar issues dress code warning

Authorities in Tanzania's semi-autonomous islands of Zanzibar have urged tourists to dress decently and respect the ‘sensibilities’ of the local culture or they will be fined. Tourism Minister Lela Muhamed Mussa told BBC News that some visitors are ‘almost naked’. She said that they could face $700 fines. Mussa warned restaurants and hotels to advise guests adhere to ‘their code of conduct’.
