Zambian police have detained popular musician Clifford Dimba for allegedly molesting a woman. Dimba received an 18-year jail term in 2014 for having sex with an underage girl. However, BBC News reports that President Edgar Lungu pardoned him the following year and made him as an ambassador against gender-based violence. The appointment was withdrawn after widespread condemnation by both local and international activists.
