* The case of the 30-year-old Mozambican accused of murdering a woman in her Pretoria academic hospital bed in February was given final postponement in the city\'s Regional Court yesterday. Lui Emmanuel Sipoge is to appear again in the court on August 15. The case was postponed for further investigation. Sipoge was remanded in custody. He is accused of attacking a 65-year-old woman who was recovering from an operation for ovarian cancer. She died several hours after the attack. – News24

* A Montclair, Durban, resident appeared in court yesterday in connection with the murder of a German national in July. Eben Eybers (23) is charged with kidnapping and murdering Jennifer Buchs (26), of the Bluff. The professional scuba diver was remanded for seven days to allow police time for further investigation. – The Mercury * William Nkuna, who failed to appear in court last week for his trial in which he is accused of killing missing police Constable Frances Rasuge, has handed himself over to police. Nkuna is in custody at the Pretoria North police station. – IoL
