Papo\'s killers given life sentences

Acting Judge Peter Mabuse said there were no mitigating circumstances to justify a lesser sentence for the ‘cold blooded, unnecessary and brutal’ murders of Professor Papo and his guests Lebogang Victor Moloto (25), and Mmathapelo Jaqueline Mamaila (20). He sentenced Sydney Mashigo (25) and Patrick Lekalakala (29) to three life terms and 15 years imprisonment each. Papo was throttled, tied up and a plastic bag put over his head in what was described as ‘a robbery gone wrong’. His two guests were assaulted, repeatedly stabbed, tied up and suffocated with plastic bags. Full report on the News24 site
