New judge sought for King trial

The State has applied to the Pretoria High Court for an order that the Judge President appoint a new judge to the Dave King fraud and tax evasion case.

The presiding judge is Judge Ronnie Bosielo. The State claims King has said on numerous occasions that he has been prejudiced by statements made in court. The matter will be decided on April 25. King’s counsel must reply to the State’s application on March 22 and the State will reply to that on March 30. However, King told Moneyweb he was happy with Bosielo. He said much-delayed matter would be delayed even longer if a new judge were to be appointed. Full Moneyweb report
