* Hilton April, who faced fraud charges after claiming that he found a rodent in his can of Coca-Cola, admitted in court that he had made a false R50 000 claim against the soft drink maker and was sentenced to 20 months\' imprisonment, suspended for five years. – The Herald * The case of Edward Kekana, the man accused of killing three people in an alleged road rage incident near Johannesburg in August this year, has been postponed in the Johannesburg Regional Court. Kekana is out on R5 000 bail. – SABC News * The Pretoria North Magistrates\' Court denied bail to Marthinus Christoffel de Bruyn, the third man accused of the murder of police captain Carrim Alli, who was shot at and set alight in his car on October 2. Magistrate Thandoluhle Mpanza-Sikhosane said De Bruyn was an \'indispensable part in this case\', that he \'knew too much\' about the crime and that his life might be in danger if he was released because he might turn State witness. – News24
