A 51-year-old man has appeared in the Estcourt Magistrates Court after a shooting linked to the strike at the Eskort Bacon factory.
A report in The Mercury says Robert Mazibuko appeared briefly before Magistrate R van Driel yesterday in connection with two counts of attempted murder arising from the wounding of Aman Nandlal in the neck and Sibulelo Majola in his thumb and forearm. Mazibuko was not asked to plead any charges. He said he required the services of a legal aid attorney. He was remanded pending a possible bail application.
