Nigeria’s State Security Service has ordered the arrest of a human rights lawyer who has been assisting in the campaign for the arrest of former Liberian leader Charles Taylor.

The Vanguard reports Professor Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, African Director of Open Society Justice Initiative (OSJI), is to be questioned over the printing of Interpol red notice posters by a pressure group called Campaign Against Immunity, calling for the release of the former Liberian warlord. Two professional printers who worked on the posters have been arrested by the SSS and detained at its headquarters in Abuja. Chairman of Centre for Free Speech, Richard Akinola, condemned the government’s clampdown on activists who are calling for the trial of Taylor before the War Crimes court. Full report in Vanguard
