Karim Keita, the son of former Malian President Ibrahim Keita, is wanted by Interpol over the disappearance of a journalist in 2016. Birama Touré went missing after approaching Karim for comment on a story he was working on. BBC News reports that Karim sued the journalist's employer, Le Sphinx, for linking him to the disappearance. Karim escaped arrest by soldiers who ousted his father in August 2020 and is believed to be living in the Ivory Coast.
