Electronic communication networks, service licensees and the ‘Internet and digital sector in general’ are no longer required to ‘collaborate’ with or assist the ‘relevant authorities’ or to support ‘designated departments’ in their efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19. According to Friday’s ministerial directive confirming this, the 26 March directive does not apply to the ‘tracking and tracing of persons’. In addition, neither price increases nor ‘mobile number portability’ are prohibited during the State of Disaster.
