Hawking auction scheduled
Stephen Hawking’s famous wheelchair is up for grabs. An auction will be held online for 22 of Hawking’s most iconic works and items, including his doctoral thesis, scientific papers, and his script from The Simpsons. The items won’t come cheap though: the doctoral thesis carries a price of more than $130 000 while one of his wheelchairs is valued at $13 000. Proceeds will be given to two charities, the Stephen Hawking Foundation, and the Motor Neuron Disease Association. The auction will take place at the end of the month and run until 8 November.
