Zimbabwean troops and police yesterday blocked thousands of people from entering central Harare because of a spike in coronavirus cases. BBC News reports that buses, trucks and private vehicles were held up and only essential workers such as health workers were allowed to proceed. Shops in the CBD were ordered to close. No similar action was reported in other urban centres. A strict lockdown which was imposed in March was relaxed last month. There are 203 confirmed cases.
