Good governance needed to curb graft – Minister

The Minister, says a report on The Citizen site, was speaking at the African Forum on Anti-Corruption in Johannesburg. ‘The sale of state properties, extensive ownership by the state of large corporations, the favouring of big conglomerates, and the manner in which some huge tenders are awarded to national and or international bidders has led to corruption in some developmental states,’ she said. Fraser-Moleketi said the most effective antidote to corruption would be to strengthen the National Integrity System, which would put issues of good governance in all spheres of society at the heart of the anti-corruption project.
