Limpopo farmer Marchel Nel (39), who initially faced murder charges, has been found guilty of culpable homicide and fined R20 000 or five years in prison for shooting to death a boy that he had mistaken for a dog, says Beeld.
Senior prosecutor Renier van Rooyen said half the fine and the jail term were suspended for five years. Nel was charged with the July 2006 murder of 11-year-old Sello Pete. Full Beeld report
