Labour Minister Membathisi Mdladlana told a Workers’ Day function yesterday that employment equity will remain not only to address discriminatory practices that still exist today, but chiefly because it makes business sense.

Mdladlana, says SABC News, emphasised that equity was not only about protection, but about creating a labour regime which sought to address industry demands, and responded positively to the requirements of job creation and poverty eradication. Full SABC News report
