Suspected ivory poachers appear in Harare court

Three suspected wildlife poachers appeared in court last week after they were allegedly caught in possession of 31.70kg of ivory worth $5 389. According to a report in The Herald, Nyasha Rangarirai (29), Aaron Chisuro (49) and Clara Gapa (42) were facing charges of contravening the Parks and Wildlife Act when they appeared before Harare magistrate Babra Mateko. They were remanded in custody to 20 August and advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
