Government ready to lift Twitter ban – Minister

Nigeria's Information Minister Lai Mohammed says the country will lift its Twitter ban ‘in a few more days’. Abuja banned the social media platfrom after it removed a post by President Muhammadu Buhari threatening to punish secessionists in the country's south-east region. BBC News reports that the ban has harmed Nigerian businesses and been widely condemned for undermining freedom of expression. 'It's just going to be very, very soon … just take my word for that,’ he said.
