New graft authority president appointed

Tunisian Justice Imed Ben Taleb has been named president of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC). The Office of the Prime Minister confirmed that he would replace Imed Boukhris ‘who will be assigned other duties’. Taleb has held several positions at the Court of First Instance of Tunis and the Land Court. Since 2018, he has served as President of the Confiscation Commission. A report on the allAfrica site notes that the main role of INLUCC, established in 2011, consists of receiving and processing complaints and reports about suspected corruption, verifying their veracity and referring cases to courts.
