A doctor suspended for allegedly ‘ripping off’ a baby's head during birth at Windhoek Hospital has been cleared and reinstated. The Namibian reports that the doctor was reinstated after post mortem results revealed ‘he did not act in any culpable manner’. The tragedy occurred on 5 December while the 24-year-old mother was giving birth. ‘The baby was having multiple congenital deformities that are not compatible with life,’ said Health Minister Kalumbi Shangula. The post mortem results were not released publicly but were shared with the family.
