Oil production soars

Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced that the country has reached the highest production levels in a decade. The Libya Herald reports that crude oil and condensate production reached 1.3m barrels per day and 202 983 barrels equivalent of gas.‎ This equates to an increase in crude oil and condensate production of 37 701 barrels per day, in addition to 24 461 barrels of gas equivalent per day.‎ The NOC credited the Tripoli based Libyan Government for its financial support, the oil sector workers, and the safe operating environment provided by the Libyan military throughout the country in the east, west and south.‎
