Former presidential candidate Bobi Wine has asked Uganda’s Supreme Court to give him extra time to file additional affidavits in support of his petition challenging the victory of Yoweri Museveni in the 14 January elections. The Monitor reports that he is seeking to file 127 additional affidavits which court rejected a week ago because he had missed the deadline. Wine argues that they will enable the court to effectively ‘inquire into and determine all questions involved in the matter’. The respondents are Museveni and Attorney-General William Byaruhanga.
