Prophet Shepherd Bushiri's daughters and mother-in-law have been stopped from leaving Malawi for Kenya. A report on the eNCA site notes that Bushiri and his wife, Mary, fled from SA to Malawi after being granted bail last year. They are facing charges of theft, money laundering and fraud in connection with an alleged R100m investment scheme. Legalbrief reports that their formal extradition hearing will take place at a Lilongwe Magistrate's Court on 8 March. Malawi received the formal extradition request from Pretoria on 4 December.
