'Terrorists’ killed in army raids

Burkina Faso’s army says it has killed 32 armed ‘terrorists’ during two operations in the north of the country. It said the first raid resulted in the freeing of many women who were being kept as sex slaves in a forest. BBC News reports that it said eight other suspected militants were killed in Bourzanga, where large quantities of arms and ammunition were seized. The military offensives followed an ambush on a Canadian mining company convoy which left 40 employees dead.
