Mother of girls who burnt to death gets bail

* The mother of two girls who burnt to death after being left home alone in Colorado Park, Cape Town, has been granted R500 bail in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate's Court. The state did not oppose Tashleema Brandt's bail application in the culpable homicide matter. However, the court postponed the bail application of her boyfriend, Cameron Adams, who is not the biological father of the girls, and is also facing a rape charge in a separate case. The state intends to oppose his release on bail.
