High Court Judge Titus Mlangeni has recused himself from a lawsuit between government and a football club because ‘of my personal relationship’ with the club. The Times of Swaziland reports that the Registrar of the High Court will have to find another judge to hear it. Manzini Wanderers, the 2016 Swazi Telecom Charity Cup runners-up, claims it is owed $15 000 in prize money by the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC). It claims the funds were deducted by the sponsor of the tournament without its consent. The team has since instructed Mbabane senior lawyer Mandla Mkhwanazi to institute legal proceedings against the company seeking an order directing SPTC to pay the money.
