Police thwart terror attack

Kenyan authorities last month infiltrated a terror network that was allegedly planning to attack government buildings. Citizen TV reports that police found three suspects hiding in a building in Isiolo. In the ensuing gunfight, police killed one of the suspects and arrested the other two. They also recovered assault rifles, grenades and other ammunition at the scene. ‘These terrorists were targeting a government building and we suspect they planned to attack a judicial building probably to rescue people being prosecuted for terror offences,’ said Inspector-General Joseph Boinnet.
