Deep divisions over Grace Mugabe

President Robert Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party has been plunged into turmoil with a Minister and another senior official resigning from their positions in the party’s women’s wing. Infighting over Mugabe's failure to groom a successor have seen two distinct camps emerging and attempting to outwit each other in the race to succeed the 93-year-old leader. A report on the News24 site notes that Bulawayo Provincial Affairs Minister Eunice Moyo and Sarah Mahoka have tendered their resignations from their positions in the Women’s League after party supporters accused them of undermining First Lady Grace Mugabe and abusing party funds. Some sources in the Women’s League said the duo was targeted after they began to openly question the First Lady’s political ambitions.
