A British High Court has ruled against an attempted rape victim who wanted to sue her attacker who won more than £7m on the lottery.

The court ruled that the 77-year-old former teacher could not seek compensation from Iorworth Hoare because her claim was bought more than six years after the assault happened, reports The Guardian. Hoare attempted to rape Mrs A, then aged 59, in February 1988. She was his seventh victim. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1989. Full report in The Guardian
