A week after her horrific knife attack in Lithabaneng, All Basotho Convention official Matebatso Doti is praying for a quick recovery and itching to return to work. Lesotho’s former Social Development Minister also wants her assailants to be swiftly brought to justice for the brutal ‘assassination attempt’. She addressed party supporters at a rally in Matsieng via a video link from the Makoanyane Military Hospital in Maseru. The Lesotho Times reports that she was stabbed five times by eight unknown assailants who said they had been sent to kill her over a party power struggle. No arrests have been made.
