Zealous DA gets judge\'s support in Jackson trial
A bid by child abuse accused Michael Jackson\'s counsel to get rid of an over zealous district attorney has failed.
The Los Angeles Times reports that lawyers for Jackson contended that District Attorney, Tom Sneddon, had been \'blinded by zeal\' and should be recused. But the judge disagreed, saying there was nothing wrong with being zealous. District attorneys are allowed to strike hard blows, though not foul ones,\' the judge said. The failed tactic was part of a defence strategy to cast doubt on the charges by casting doubt on Sneddon. Full report in the Los Angeles Times
