Whistle-blower explains why he took on Minister
Mike Tshishonga, the former Deputy Director-General at the Department of Justice who recently won a landmark ruling for whistle-blowers in the Labour Court the first case in which a whistle-blower has received compensation for exposing corruption says he sued former Justice Minister Penuell Maduna and current Scorpions boss, Vusi Pikoli, formerly Director-General in the Department of Justice , because I am passionate about good governance and the rule of law, writes E-Brief News.
In an interview on Moneyweb Radio, he said: I realised that (I) was being violated, especially because this (was) being done within the department which I was a head of. if we discriminate against liquidators, for instance, and we favour one particular liquidator, then you have to answer to the others who are not being favoured. So I couldnt live with my conscience when I suspected that the Minister seemed to be favouring one of the liquidators. Tshishonga lost his job following his public disclosure of corruption and nepotism within the liquidations industry, as well as Madunas insistence on having a friend, Enver Motala, appointed in lucrative cases.
