Suspected gangsters get combined jail term of 276 years

Four suspected gangsters, Ashley Kannemeyer, Gregory Jacobs, Ebrahim Khan and Melvin Sauls, have been jailed for a total of 276 years after being convicted in the Cape High Court on three armed robbery charges, three abductions, murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, according to the Cape Argus.

The convictions were in connection with the abduction and murder of businessman Christopher Visser (38) and the abduction and robbery of his friends, Bonita Wallace (31) and Colin Davids (34) in June 2004. All four convicted men received life sentences for the murder. Full Cape Argus report
