* The Wynberg Magistrates’ Court has upheld an earlier decision to evict 29 homeless people who have refused to leave The Haven shelter in Wynberg in Cape Town. The Haven has been providing a bed for the night and food for the city\'s destitute, but says it does not provide permanent accommodation. – SABC News * A US District Court yesterday acquitted three former Enron p broadband executives of some charges, but deadlocked on the remaining charges involving them and two other executives. The judge barred jurors from discussing the case, which she said would have to be retried. – Los Angeles Times * Ruling that the mere presence of three classic features of ‘shaken baby syndrome’ did not automatically lead to a conclusion of unlawfully killing or injury, a British Court of Appeal yesterday cleared two people jailed in so-called ‘shaken baby’ cases.
