New Bill will open up Britains gambling industry
Britains gambling industry is expected to flourish after the government announced a major revamp of gaming and betting laws that will see many restrictions lifted.
Among these, reports The Telegraph, is the removal of restrictions on the sale of alcohol, club membership and entertainment and that casinos will be able to stay open for 24 hours. A government department study predicts the spending on gambling will rise by £4bn to £12.5bn over the next five years as a result of the Gambling Bill, which is expected to become law in 2006.
