Goniwe to appeal against expulsion from ANC
Former ANC Chief Whip Mbulelo Goniwe is to appeal against his expulsion from the organisation.
He will question disciplinary chairman Kader Asmals competence and argue the action was politically motivated, according to a report in The Mercury. He has given notice to the ANCs National Executive Committee that he intends to apply for the decision to be reviewed on appeal. He was expelled from the organisation for three years. This comes after the ANCs disciplinary committee decided on December 14 to expel Goniwe because he had sexually harassed a 21-year-old parliamentary office assistance, Nomwele Njongo.
