Ex jockey’s battle to get name back

A British former champion jump jockey, Richard Dunwoody, is battling to wrest the commercial use of his name back from a former business associate.

The Telegraph reports following a bust-up, former partner Mike Diamandis retained the Dunwoody Sports Marketing name, brand and Dunwoody logo for activities including the publication of football programmes and race cards. Now Dunwoody says he has been told by lawyers it would cost up to £100 000 to take the matter to court and that he has a 50% chance of winning. ‘(This) is a risk that I\'m not in a position to take. It is an absolutely intolerable situation for me but it appears that there is little I can do.’ Full report in The Telegraph
