Case against Mamase couple is postponed for more probes and other brief reports

* The East London Magistrates’ Court has postponed to June 10 the fraud case of former agriculture Minister Max Mamase and his wife, Housing and Local Government Minister Neo Moerane-Mamase. The two are charged with fraud relating to accepting kickbacks in the form of two bond payments towards their R2.7m mansion in East London. – The Herald

* Eastern Cape MEC for Local Government, Housing and Traditional Affairs, Neo Moerane-Mamase, has resigned, according to Premier Nosimo Balindlela, who said the resignation came after a meeting concerning a fraud and corruption case that was pending against the MEC. – SABC News * Anisa Sukan’s common-law husband, Wassim Haider Agha, and his former driver/bodyguard, Bonginkosi David Ndlovu, will be in the dock of the Scottburgh High Court today, charged with conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of murder and one of robbery.
