Bill will clean up Nigeria procurement system

A Nigerian Bill on Public Procurement has been presented to the National Assembly, according to Special Adviser on Budget Monitoring and Price Intelligence, Oby Ezekwesili, who said the government has resolved to make transparency in the public procurement system a permanent feature in government business beyond the tenure of President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007.

Ezekwesili, reports the Vanguard, urged the private sector and chambers of commerce at all levels to accelerate passage of the Bill. Full report in Vanguard
