Agliotti trial delayed pending Stratton extradition
The trial of businessman Glenn Agliotti for the alleged murder in 2005 of mining magnate Brett Kebble was postponed - for the seventh time - to February 2010 in the High Court in Johannesburg yesterday following a request by the NPA for time to finalise the extradition of 72-year-old John Stratton, who is also accused of involvement in Kebble's murder.
Stratton, who now resides in Australia, is a former director of the JCI group, notes a report on the IoL site. Agliotti, who was an associate of Kebble, faces charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He has claimed that Kebble's murder was an assisted suicide. Agliotti is also implicated in the corruption case against National Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi. Full report on the IoL site
