Zanu-PF national headquarters in Harare is scrambling with a graft scandal after it emerged that officials used a private company to secure a lucrative contract for the printing of ballot papers used in the recent provincial elections at the expense of a party-owned firm. Investigations by NewZimbabwe reveal that VGP Technologies secured the contract at the expense of Jongwe Printers which is wholly-owned by Zanu-PF. Party secretary Lovemore Matuke has urged State Security Minister Owen Ncube to deploy Central Intelligence Organisation operatives to investigate whether kickbacks were paid.
