VP and wife in messy divorce tussle

Marry Shiwenga, the estranged wife of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, has filed papers in the High Court in Harare demanding $47 000 per month for maintenance. New Zimbabwe reports that the former model claims Chiwenga purchased several upmarket properties outside the country using relatives as proxies in order to avoid Western sanctions. The Chiwengas are going through a messy divorce process and fighting for custody of their children. Marry is also demanding compensation from her husband for injuries she sustained when a grenade explosion injured both of them in 2018. They were both airlifted to SA for medical treatment.
