Anti-abuse campaign grows

Photos of a man allegedly masturbating in a car outside a Tunisian high school have prompted an outpouring of stories by women about the sexual abuse and harassment they have experienced. BBC News reports that they are being shared under the hashtag #EnaZeda, which means ‘MeToo’. As previously reported in Legalbrief Today, the suspect is recently elected MP Zouheir Makhlouf who denies the allegations. He currently enjoys parliamentary immunity, although a judge is still studying the case. An NGO has now launched a #EnaZeda Facebook page which has more than 25 000 members, with thousands still pending approval.
