Tanzania's authorities have banned the use of strobe lights and sirens on public and private vehicles. Many tuk-tuks or motorbike taxis use the lights and sirens to attract customers. ‘They are confusing people on the streets. BBC News reports that ambulances and police vehicles are exempt from the order.
