Suspected Addis Ababa terror attack thwarted

Ethiopian authorities have arrested 15 people over an alleged plot to attack the UAE embassy in Addis Ababa. The National Intelligence and Security Service claimed the suspects were working on the instruction of foreigners. A report on the News24 site notes that arms, explosives and documents were seized during the operation, it noted. There was no immediate comment by the UAE’s Foreign Ministry or its embassy in the capital. The UAE has played a key diplomatic role in bringing foes Ethiopia and Eritrea together.
