SA evangelist arrested in Madagascar

A South African missionary was arrested in Madagascar on Friday in relation to a traffic incident late last month. Nic Strydom, who has lived on the island for 22 years, hit a pedestrian. He took the victim to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. A report on the News24 site notes that he then reported the matter to police and made a statement. However, he subsequently received a summons and was arrested in court. A decision was made to prosecute Strydom, but it's unclear what he’s been charged with.
