Official links corruption to coronavirus

The head of Nigeria's anti-corruption body has embarrassed the government by blaming corruption for the outbreak of the coronavirus. BBC News reports that acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Ibrahim Magu made the remarks at a passing-out parade of the commission's officers which President Muhammadu Buhari attended. ‘Fighting corruption is like a crusade against the evils in our society,’ he said in his address which was broadcast.
