The Kenyan Government has extended the deadline to travel on the new e-passport to 1 March 2021. Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i said 1.8m Kenyans, ‘mostly in the diaspora’, possess the original passports. To assist with this process, Nairobi has set up four passport control centres in Nakuru, Kisii, Eldoret and Embu and three in Europe (Berlin, Paris and London), one in the US (Washington DC) and two others in Johannesburg and Dubai.
