Murder suspect denied bail

A Namibian man accused of killing his girlfriend has been denied bail in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate's Court. Eman Musukubili was arrested after his girlfriend, Bertha Doctor's, body was found by a passer-by in the Makaravan West location of Katima Mulilo a week ago. Police spokesperson Evans Simasiku told The Namibian that the two were seen fighting at a bar last Wednesday night. Magistrate Clara Mwilima postponed the case to 31 October to allow for further police investigations. Musukubili is expected to apply for legal aid.
