Kenya judge stands firm in US Ebola facility dispute

The Nairobi Government’s recent deal with Washington to construct an Ebola quarantine base for US citizens right in the middle of Kenya, has run up against community outrage, determined human rights litigation – and a judge well aware of the court’s place in the country’s constitutional system. It has also seen Kenya’s Minister of Health found to be in contempt of court and obliged to issue a fulsome apology.
